Worth Saving

A Memoir

The journey for my dad making 35 years of sobriety. He had 6 brothers all who passed from either alcohol poisoning or liver problems. And, we should not forget the trials of the wife, keeping the family together and who then was diagnosed with dementia at age 93. This began my journey to care for her in my home for almost 7 years. She would say ‘why do you call me mother!’

Book Reviews

Joanne Humiston

“I loved reading the story of Judy and her family’s journey through a sometimes turbulent life. Although I know Judy and her family, I was unaware of the many personal sacrifices she and John made to care for her parents. I grew up and lived in the same area as Judy, and reading her story triggered a lot of fond memories for me. I have recommended this book to several people, especially a few that are dealing with some of the same issues.”
